My desire is to know about provider taxonomy codes has been answered. I have read article of provider taxonomy codes on a website that I found while browsing. The article is in https://questions.cms.hhs.gov. In a nutshell are as follows: Health Provider Taxonomy Code reporting varies from one health plan to another. Health Provider Taxonomy code set divides health care providers into hierarchical groups based on the type, classification, and specialization, and provide the code for each grouping. These codes are not "assigned" to health care providers, but health care providers select the taxonomy code (s) that most closely represents their education, licensing, or certification. NUCC accept requests for new codes and requests for changes to existing code or description. More detail....
